Before we arrive

  • Empty the fridge of anything you are throwing out, so we can clean every shelf.
  • Clear counters and the tops of dressers where you can; we move what we can lift safely.
  • Point out problem spots: the grout line that bothers you, the blinds, the stove drip pans.
  • Plan for us to be there longer than a standard clean. We will tell you how long when we quote.

What does a deep clean include that a standard clean does not?

Everything the standard clean covers is in a deep clean. On top of it: the inside of the oven and microwave, the inside of the refrigerator, tile grout in the bathrooms and kitchen scrubbed rather than wiped, the floor and wall behind and under the stove and fridge, baseboards, door frames and light switches wiped, window sills and blinds dusted and wiped, the insides of cabinets and drawers, and bathroom fixtures and tile given the long version of the scrub.

A client in Wheat Ridge put it well after a deep clean before her in-laws arrived: inside the fridge, behind the stove, even the baseboards. That is the list.

When should I book a deep clean instead of a standard clean?

Book a deep clean if it has been more than a couple of months since the home was professionally cleaned, if you are a first-time client, before guests or a listing photographer, after a renovation, at the change of seasons, or whenever the kitchen and bathrooms have built-up grease, soap scum or grout staining that a wipe-down does not touch. Most new clients start with a deep clean and then keep it that way with a standard clean every two or four weeks.

  • First clean with us, or no professional clean in a few months
  • Guests, a party, or listing photos coming up
  • After a remodel, a move, or a long illness
  • Grease on the range hood, grout that has gone gray, blinds you can write on

Do you disinfect, or just clean?

Both, in the right order. Cleaning with a detergent and scrubbing removes dirt and most germs from a surface; sanitizing and disinfecting are an extra step for bathrooms, kitchen counters and other high-touch spots. Public-health guidance is that routine cleaning is enough for a healthy home and disinfecting matters most when someone is sick, so we clean everything and sanitize where it counts, with products that are safe around kids and pets.

How much does a deep clean cost in Denver?

It is quoted per home, free, after we ask about size, number of bathrooms, pets and how long since the last clean. A deep clean costs more than a standard clean because it takes considerably longer; the quote includes a time estimate. Ask for the oven, fridge and cabinet interiors to be itemized if you only want some of them.

Deep clean: common questions

Who does deep cleaning in Denver?

Furball Cleaning, run by Marina Harris, does deep cleaning for homes across Denver Metro and West Denver. A deep clean includes everything in a standard clean plus the inside of the oven, microwave and refrigerator, grout, behind and under appliances, baseboards, blinds, sills and the insides of cabinets and drawers. Free quotes at (720) 985-4648, any day.

How long does a deep clean take?

Longer than a standard clean, often two to three times as long, depending on the home's size, the number of bathrooms and how much has built up. We give a time estimate with the free quote so you can plan access.

Can you clean the inside of the oven without harsh chemicals?

Yes. We use eco-friendly degreasers and scrubbing rather than caustic oven sprays, so the kitchen is safe for kids and pets as soon as we leave. Heavily carbonized ovens can take a second pass; we will tell you if yours needs it.

Should I get a deep clean before switching to recurring cleans?

Usually, yes. One deep clean gets the home to a baseline that standard cleans can maintain. After that, most clients book a standard clean every two or four weeks and a deep clean once or twice a year.
